Food Hygiene and Food Safety Refresher Course

Who should attend ? 
Anyone involved in the handling, preparation or serving of food to the public. This includes staff in:
  • food businesses
  • hospitals, nursing homes, hostels
  • restaurants, cafes, take-aways etc.
  • child care centres, canteens
  • charitable organisations
Duration 
Three hours. Coffee and Tea will be provided.
Class Numbers 
Maximum 20. 
Learning Outcomes
  1. Identify food safety hazards that can lead to food poisoning and contamination incidents
  2. Describe the basic food safety practices and controls required in your business
  3. Identify pesonal hygiene standards and
  4. Identify monitoring records required and corrective actions to be undertaken
Venue
  • on site
  • all states
Participants receive student notes, food safety pamphlets and the latest statistics on food poisoning/contamination outbreaks.

A short assessment and evaluation of the course is undertaken at the end of the course.

Participants will receive a "Certificate of Attendance" once they have successfully passed the assessment.
